Terms of Service

DRAFT — pending counsel review. Last updated May 2026.

1. The service

The Executor Hub is a software workspace operated by [Operator] that helps an estate executor organize tasks and share updates with invited family members. By creating an account or accepting a family invitation, you agree to these terms.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and located in the United States. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity under it. Notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Pricing and payment

Your first estate is free with limited features. Unlocking full features for an estate is a one-time payment of $79 USD via Stripe Checkout. Each additional estate is its own one-time $79 payment. There is no subscription, no recurring charge, and no auto-renewal.

Prices may change for future purchases; estates already unlocked are unaffected.

4. Refunds

We offer a full refund within 30 days of purchase, no questions asked. Email support@theexecutorhub.com and we will reverse the charge through Stripe; the estate will revert to the free tier automatically.

5. Not legal, tax, or financial advice

The task catalogue, AI explanations, and any content within the service are general information only. Nothing here is legal, tax, accounting, or financial advice. Estate administration is governed by state and federal law — consult a licensed attorney or CPA for decisions that affect you or the estate.

6. Your responsibilities

  • You confirm that you have the right to enter the information you store about the decedent and the estate.
  • You confirm that you have the right to invite each family member you add and that they consent to receiving update emails.
  • You will not use the service to harass, defame, or harm any person, or to violate any law.
  • You will not attempt to circumvent feature gates, scrape another estate's data, or interfere with other users.

7. Acceptable use

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, attempt to attack the service, or use the service to send unsolicited email. We may also terminate accounts that have been inactive for more than two years; we will email you first.

8. Intellectual property

You retain ownership of the content you write into your estate. You grant us a limited license to host, display, and process that content as required to operate the service for you and the family members you invite. The Executor Hub software, design, and task catalogue are owned by [Operator].

9. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any information it contains is accurate or complete. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

11. Termination

You may delete an estate or your entire account at any time. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (refunds for ongoing disputes, IP, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) survive.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

13. Changes

When we change these terms we will update the date above. If a change is material, we will email active executors and give 30 days notice before the change takes effect for them.
